Brookside Group Practice is an innovative, unique large 4 site practice working within the Primary Care Network, managing approximately 31,000 patients. Our team of around 130 people includes many allied health professionals, including a thriving health and wellbeing team dealing with most mental health aspects alongside doctors, physician associates and MIND services, MSK practitioner, pharmacists, paramedics, nurses, healthcare assistants, support, and administration staff.

Medical Note Summariser/Clinical Coder

If you have good organisational skills, high level of accuracy and have a good attention to detail we have an exciting opportunity in our Clinical Coder/Administration team.

The successful candidate will work as part of the team, managing key tasks including:

  • Summarising of patient medical notes
  • Assigning industry-recognised codes to medical system
  • Processing patient letters from hospitals and other 3rd parties
  • Setting up and managing patient online access

The successful candidate will be well organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy and must enjoy working as part of a team. IT literacy, together with EMIS experience would be preferred although not essential as training will be provided. The candidate will be able to handle confidential information and to work with complete integrity. They must be motivated and have a willingness to learn as part of a hard-working team, but also be comfortable working independently without constant supervision.

Minimum of 24 hours per week over 4 or 5 days (permanent).

Full training will be given.

GP Receptionist (Patient Services Team Member)

Are you looking to join a warm and friendly team with a supportive culture, in a role where you can make a difference? If so, we have an exciting opportunity in our Patient Services Team.

The role will include:

  • 25 hours over 5 days, permanent
  • To work as part of a team in providing an efficient & caring front-line service to patients and other callers to the Practice
  • Computer experience essential
  • Own transport preferred
  • Full training will be given

The successful candidate will be IT literate, possess good typing skills, be accurate in their work with strong attention to detail. They will be able to handle confidential information and be able to work with complete integrity. They must be motivated and have a willingness to learn as part of a hard-working team, but also be comfortable working independently without constant supervision.

Reception and/or telephone call centre experience would be preferred, although not essential.
